What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify and research potential school and district partners through outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach
- Qualify leads by understanding the needs and interests of prospects, setting appointments, and passing qualified leads to Account Managers
- Build and maintain relationships with educators and administrators to highlight the value of Scholastic Reading Events
- Manage a sales pipeline by maintaining accurate records of interactions in the CRM system and tracking progress toward goals
- Collaborate with the sales team to refine outreach strategies and enhance lead generation efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail, district/territory sales, or event management
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with sales automation and CRM software
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship-building
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with childrens literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Experience in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
- Noted leadership ability and qualities demonstrated in previous roles
