Our equipment helps optimize well pad design, improve separation efficiency and lower overall equipment spend through high-performance surface separation and processing technology. Westerman is looking for an ambitious self-starter for the role of Field Service Technician. This role performs field service, warranty, commissioning, and start-up activities related to Oil and Gas processing equipment. Responsible for trouble-shooting mechanical equipment and controls, and for the documentation of these procedures/repairs. Engages and interacts with customers and Westerman employees at various organizational levels and provides technical support and training on equipment operation. Willingness to travel and work outside in remote locations on short notice. When not on assignment in field, will work in local facility contributing to production objectives.

Responsibilities:

* Performs field service, warranty, startup and commissioning of equipment at customer locations and all associated reporting

* Works with design and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues and develop joint resolutions to problems

* Develops and implements commissioning and start-up procedures

* Provides educational opportunities to customers on proper startup, usage, and maintenance of equipment

* Works closely with customers to ensure customer satisfaction

* Advocates Westerman process equipment solutions and engineering capabilities

* When not on assignment, works in production environment supporting operations objectives

Required Qualifications:

* Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Process, Industrial discipline or equivalent training and/or experience

* Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings, electrical schematics, and other diagrams

* Knowledge of Oil & Gas production facilities and equipment

* Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and knowledge of I&E controls

* Ability to troubleshoot & diagnose mechanical equipment and controls, communications, computers

* Advanced knowledge of upstream Oil and Gas processing equipment operation and facilities

* Knowledge of equipment designs, technical requirements, applicable codes, and standards

* Willingness to travel and work in remote locations

* Professional appearance and attitude

* Solid technical documentation and report writing ability

* Professional interpersonal skills and ability to communicate accurately, concisely, and professionally

* Critical thinking, complex problem solving, troubleshooting and judgement

* Strong inductive and deductive reasoning

* Ability to quickly and accurately analyze data, form accurate conclusions and establish corrective action
