Summary
This is a full-time position that is responsible for operating gasoline or diesel-powered crane mounted on specially constructed truck chassis to lift and move materials and objects on drilling sites. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Starts engine and drives crane to work site, steering crane by moving levers and pressing pedals that control motion of crawler treads.
- Pushes and pulls levers and presses pedals in response to hand signals to rotate crane on chassis and raise and lower crane boom and loadline.
- Operates hydraulic crane and truck to tear down, rig up and/or move drilling rigs.
- Inspects equipment for defective parts and notifies supervisor of defects or malfunctions.
- Lubricate motor and moving parts of crane.
- A high school diploma or equivalent education with one to three (1-3) months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
- Two (2) years of experience operating thirty-five to one hundred twenty (35-120) hydraulic cranes, and experience tearing down and rigging up drilling rigs.
- Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Possession of or ability to obtain a state hoisting licenses.
- Ability to travel.
- Ability to meet DOT physical requirements, including drug/alcohol testing.
- English language fluency, verbal and written.
- Acceptable results of a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol test.
