The QA Inspector is responsible for testing and inspecting products during various stages of production, compiling and analyzing data to ensure product quality and reliability. Monitors and evaluates individual weld tests, supports Welding Procedure Specifications, and utilizes power-wave platforms to maintain welding quality.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Evaluate customer standards, select testing procedures and equipment, and review specifications, prints, and work orders.
+ Collaborate with Engineers, Production, and Quality Assurance teams to prevent and resolve quality issues.
+ Perform dimensional inspections of welds, assemblies, and components using measuring devices.
+ Approve materials by comparing Material Test Reports (MTR) to specifications, ensuring proper traceability.
+ Perform visual inspections of welds and fabricated items, including painting and material checks.
+ Operate testing equipment (ultra-sonic, magnetic particle, dye-penetrant) to verify weld integrity.
+ Analyze test results, direct repairs, and record data as required.
+ Calibrate instruments and maintain quality standards throughout the production process.
+ Administer and evaluate welding tests for new hires and internal reclassifications.
+ Provide training on welding processes and troubleshoot welding machine issues.
+ Assist in developing Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and maintain Procedure Qualification Records (PQR).

**Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred.
+ AWS or CWI certification is preferred.
+ Experience with AWS D1.1, CWI, and ASNT Level II NDT for U.T, P.T, and M.T is a plus.
+ Strong knowledge of welding processes and testing equipment.
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Must lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
+ Frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and climbing.
+ Must have good vision for inspections and operate in noisy environments with exposure to mechanical parts and airborne particles.
**Work Environment:**
+ Loud work environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather and moving mechanical parts.
